It’s Monday, our 9th day in Australia. Our 40 students spent the weekend with their host families. Many of them went to the beach and the shopping mall. Everybody was in very good spirits and in good shape.
Today, we had a busy program. In the morning, they had physical education where they learned how to play rugby. They also had a photography lesson. They were assigned to take different pictures on the school campus. It was then followed by a school assembly, one of our students made a speech in English in front of the assembly. There was an exchange of gifts between the two schools.
After that, one group had home economics. In that lesson, they cooked kangaroo meat bolognese pasta. The other group learned how to play the ukulele, followed by a special class about Aboriginal culture and history.
After lunch, they had their last lesson of the day. One group had arts and the ones learn about Australian sign language.
It was another wonderful day at Narrabeen Sports High School. Our students are making progress everyday in learning English and new skills.
